The tweet that echoed around the sportsworld yesterday from @TheNotoriousMMA better known to us as the Irish MMA Superstar, Conor McGregor. "I accept your challenge, Oscar De La Hoya." Ohhhhh Man! Looky looky what we have here.
Looks like 47 year old Oscar De La Hoya went looking for a fight and found one. "Two rounds," De La Hoya said when asked about the fight on CBS Sports' State of Combat podcast. "Oh come on, brother. Two rounds. One thing about me is I went for the kill, always. Look, Conor McGregor -- I love him in the Octagon, I respect him, I watch him all the time. But the boxing ring is a whole different story, it's a whole different story." Oscar De La Hoya has not fought a match in over ten years. Since his retirement, he has dedicated himself to successfully running one of boxings' biggest promotion companies; Golden Boy Promotions. McGregor fought his first boxing match against Floyd Mayweather in August 2017 with record breaking PPV sales. Since then, McGregor has shown great interest & desire to continue his boxing career. Although Oscar is far from his prime, it would be great to see this fight come into fruition. It would be another historic fight to add to the books. Who do you guys have? 6ix9ine has officially broke his silence on his dormant Instagram account today. His Instagram story line read "You Ready? May 8th". This cryptic message appears to be hinting at a return on May 08th, 2020. What will it be though? Will he be dropping a new song? New video? Doing an Instagram live? Interview? Will he still have the support from his fans? Does anyone even care??? Well, according to his instagram followers of 15.2 Million, clearly a lot of people still care. It was also interesting to see that 6ix9ine has unfollowed everyone on his account is it's currently showing: Following 0.
Last week, his lawyers made a request to the judge to film music videos in his backyard at his property. His probation officer was aware of the request and had no objection. All Tekashi needed was an approval and now he's got it. Judge Engelmayar gave the rapper permission "to conduct employment-related activities outside of the residence but within the confines of the rented property". According to court documents, 6ix9ine, who was expected to be released July 31, was released earlier this month due to fears for his health with Covid 19. Tekashi will remain under house arrest for the next four months under supervised release and will be subject to electronic monitoring. Guess we will have to wait till May 8th to see what's poppin. |
